Vaping in At-risk Populations: Effects on Mental and Physical Health (VAPE) Study: A Patient Perspective

What is the VAPE Study?

The VAPE study aims to understand the perceptions and motivations for vaping in the opioid use disorder (OUD) population receiving medication assisted treatment. Using phone interviews, we aim to collect information on the perceptions of vaping and vaping behaviour patterns (i.e., reasons for vaping, type of substance, effect of vaping on health).

You are able to participate in this study if you:

  1.  Are 16 years of age or older

  2. Attend an addiction treatment centre for opioid use disorder.

  3. Vape or use e-cigarettes

Why should I participate in this study?

While there is no direct benefit to you, the information and results of this study may help prevent and manage opioids addiction in the future.

Will I be paid to participate in this study?

There is no payment for participating in this study. You will be compensated with a gift card as a thank you for your participation.
